At Bee Smith we create your dream wedding accessories. Whether it’s a long Cathedral veil, a small 1940s inspired head band with net, hair clips or something you’ve dreamed of for your wedding, we are happy to help to make your wedding dreams a reality.
Bridal
We design and make bespoke veils. From full-length Cathedral veils to birdcage veils, each made to suit the bride’s individual style. You can choose the embellishments to match your dress and flowers. We also design and make headpieces, combs and hairpins to your individual specification.
Mother of the Bride or Groom
Once you’ve chosen your outfit, make an appointment to visit the studio to have a hat designed and made to complete your look. Whether it’s a headband, pillbox or brim we can accommodate your needs. We can match the colours or compliment them, work with your style and create something that will bring your outfit together.
Bridesmaids
We make headbands, combs and hairpins to co-ordinate with bridemaids’ and flower girl dresses. These also make lovely bridesmaid gifts.

You will have an hour’s consultation where you can try on different styles, look at fabric swatches, trimmings to enable us to match your individual look. Once your design has been finalised, we will call you to arrange a short fitting appointment before the hat/ headpiece is finished. We’d encourage you to bring your dress or fabric swatch to your appointment to aid with colour matching.
Our studio is based in Kingston upon Thames. Once your hat design is finalised we require a non-refundable 30% deposit. We usually allow 4 – 8 weeks to complete your order. (timescale dependant on time of year).
Hen Party Workshops
Fancy a hat making hen night?
After a 2 hour workshop and a glass of bubbly, you and your guests will leave with a beautiful fascinator/ headpiece made by your own fair hands! There are different styles for all abilities and taste. Each workshop will be run by Bee, and maybe a glamourous assistant.
Groups of 5 – 25 can be catered for. The parties can either be held at your home, or at a venue of your choice.
Pricing
Prices are £45 per person and of course, the bride goes free! All materials are included and a glass of Prosecco per person. Pricing does not include venue hire.
Bee Smith is based in Kingston-upon-Thames and is happy to travel within South London and Surrey.
