Make Do and Mend at RHACC

Description

In a 6 week course, students would learn the skills needed to repair, re-use and re-imagine their wardrobe.

The course will include:
– Basic mending and alteration techniques, such as adding darts, shortening or lengthening garments, running repairs such as fixing hems or sewing a button.
– Fixing garments using visible and invisible mending techniques
– Knitwear darning
– Transforming old garments into new, more wearable styles.

This course will be taught at Hillcroft College in Surbiton, part of Richmond and Hillcroft Community College (RHACC). You will need to enrol via RHACC.
