Spend a day at the Bee Smith Millinery studio where you’ll design and create your very own fascinator or cocktail hat.
1 Day Sinamay Hat Making Workshop
Come & join us for the day to design and make a hat of your choosing. The workshop is a full day, 10am – 4pm available on Fridays and Saturdays. Come with ideas, colours or an outfit to match.
Step 1: Pick the shape and colour
Step 2: Block (make) the shape using sinamay fabric & leave to dry
Step 3: Whilst the hat is drying, design and make the hat trimmings
Step 4: Wire the hat shape, attach hat fittings (headband/ elastic etc) and finalise with the trimmings

2 Day Felt Hat Making Workshop
Come & join us for 2 mornings to design and make a hat of your choosing. The workshop is across 2 mornings, 10am – 1pm x 2 (or 2 x 3 hour slots) available on Fridays and Saturdays. Come with ideas, colours or an outfit to match.
Day 1: By the end of the first morning, you will have learned how to block your hat and choose and create your decoration.
Day 2: By the end of the second morning, your hat will have dried, been wired if necessary and will have been decorated with the finishings you have chosen. You will leave with a creation of your own making!
