Full Day Millinery Classes
Sinamay cocktail hat class – 1 day
Spend a day in the Bee Smith Millinery studio where you can design and make your own fascinator/ cocktail hat. You will be taught how to block your hat, wire it and add veiling/ trimmings. Please let us know any colour preferences in advance.
The class can be arranged for either Friday or Saturdays (10.30am – 4.30pm for 1-2-1 classes or 10.00 – 5.00pm for groups), at our studio in Kingston- upon-Thames. Tea, coffee and other drinks available all day.
The full day class costs £125, with all materials included.
This class can either be run 1-2-1 or as a group of up to 4 people.
Please note that there is no disabled access in the studios – there is a side door, so please contact us for further details if required.
This workshop is suitable for age 16+. Basic sewing skills are required.
Felt Cocktail Hat Making Workshop – 2 mornings
Would you like to learn a new skill? Why not join us and learn how to make a felt cocktail hat over the course of two mornings?
Day 1: By the end of the first morning, you will have learned how to block your hat and choose and create your decoration.
Day 2: By the end of the second morning, your hat will have dried, been wired if necessary and will have been decorated with the finishings you have chosen. You will leave with a creation of your own making!
The class can be arranged for either Friday or Saturdays mornings 10am – 1pm (or two x 3 hour time slot), at our studio in Kingston- upon-Thames.
The class costs £150, with all materials included.

Hat Making for Beginners – 2 hour workshop
Come and create your very own headpiece to dazzle your friends and family with at parties and events. Enjoy a glass of fizz and make yourself a wonderful hat to wear at weddings, parties and trips to the racecourse.
The class costs £45, with all materials included.
We run regular classes in and around Kingston. Please check above for dates, or contact us to host your own hat making party. We run the class for hen dos, corporate events and birthdays.
Bespoke Millinery Classes
Are you looking to learn a specific millinery skill? Can’t see a workshop that meets your needs? Why not get in touch so we can design a class for you?
We will be able to discuss your preferences and requirements so that we can provide you with a personalised quote and arrange dates for your workshop. All workshops will be suitable for age 16+. Basic sewing skills will be required.

Sewing Classes
We are now offering 1-2-1 sewing classes for adults at our studio, in Kingston. We can teach hand and machine sewing, reading patterns and basic dress making skills.
The cost is £20 per hour, with a discounted rate of £75 for a 4 hour session.
